Maimónides

Location: 
This sculpture dedicated to Maimonides is located in Tiberias Square, in the southwestern part of the city just a few metres from the Synagogue of Cordoba.

Origin: 
This bronze sculpture dedicated to philosopher and physician Moisés ben Maimón, known as Maimónides, was unveiled on 7 June 1964. Sculptor Amadeo Ruiz Olmos was commissioned by the mayor of the city, Antonio Guzmán, to create this sculpture in commemoration of the 760th anniversary of the death of this Sephardic intellectual.
