Iron and San Rafael Mills

Iron Mill (or San Lorenzo Mill)

Location: 
It is located on the left bank of the river, behind the San Rafael bridge, and is the closest mill to the riverbank. It is part of the same Arab dam as the Molino de la Alegría and the Molino de San Rafael.

Origin: 
It is a relatively modern mill, built at the beginning of the 19th century by Lorenzo de Basabru.

Use: 
Initially a paper mill, it was transformed into a flour mill in the mid-19th century.

San Rafael Mill

Location: 
It is located on the left bank of the river, behind the San Rafael bridge, and is the closest mill to the riverbank. It is part of the same Arab dam as the Molino de la Alegría and the Molino del Hierro.

Origin: 
It was built in the early 19th century by Lorenzo de Basabru.

Use: 
It was used as a paper mill and was later transformed into a flour mill. Along with the Iron Mill, there is a plan for its restoration in order to reintegrate it into the city.
