Location: 
The sculpture dedicated to philospher, historian and poet Ibn Hazm is located in one of the access points of the historic city, in the vicinity of the Seville Gate.

Origin: 
For the 900th anniversary of poet Ibn Hazm´s death and in commemoration of the World Poetry Festival of the Islamic World, the Mayor of Cordoba, Antonio Guzmán, commissioned sculptor Amadeo Ruiz Olmos to create a bronze statue of this Cordoban poet. Olmos is the creator of some of the sculptures dedicated to the most illustrious figures of the city of Cordoba.
