Location: 
The Almodóvar Gate is located in a privileged enclave, giving access to the historic centre of the city of Cordoba. This historic gate is located in the western part of the walled perimeter of the old city.

Origin: 
Thanks to the archaeological remains found in the vicinity of the area, the Puerta de Almodóvar has been dated to the second half of the 1st century A.D., at the height of the Altoimperial period.
