San Antonio Mill

Location:
This is the mill closest to the Calahorra Tower, located on the left bank of the Guadalquivir River.

Origin:
Its origins date back to medieval times, and it owes its name to the image of San Antonio that was originally on its façade.

Use:
It was originally a single-storey building used for the manufacturing of flour. It remained in operation until the middle of the 20th century, although at that time it was used as a base for the construction of the boats used to cross the river.
In 2007 it was restored, with the aim of converting it into an Ornithology (study of birds) Classroom. While the project is being completed, it is being used as an exhibition hall.
